Maryam's first encounter with snow

Since we will be moving out of Folsom area at the beginning of January, we thought to visit Lake Tahoe before that. So around the end of December 07, we took Maryam to see Lake Tahoe and in winter it's just a terrain of snow. Every where you look, all you see is snow: in the mountains, in the lake, in the tree, and even on the road. Lake Tahoe looked as two completely different worlds in summer and in winter. It’s a must see. If you live near by, you got no excuse to miss.

For Maryam, it was her first visit to Lake Tahoe @ Winter. But being only 9 months old she was no match for winter cold of a snow fall land. So we were concerned about that, but decided to give it a try anyway. So she got her thickest gear to meet winter. Obviously you wouldn't see her on those because she got a `unpack` just before we took a picture every time. That was a hassle, but hey she have to pose for the camera, right?

At one instant a funny thing happened. I have to tell you about that. Maryam was amused to see all these white stuffs lying on the land everywhere. She saw us wondering around on top of it, sometimes grab a hand full and play with it. Basically we were driving around, find a good scenic spot, park the car, get out, take few pictures, wonder around for a while, then get back to car and headed for the next best spot. Seeing this over and over, she now wants her fare share of it. She would like to grab some of these white stuffs. Denied by her mom, she starts crying or that's what we thought :) So we decided to give her a chance: her first encounter with the third kind! Well ice cold snow in this case. But we did our homework i.e. making the car hot enough. Finally Joya unpack Maryam little bit and put her to stand on snow, WOW! You should see Maryam's face! Our camera missed it. Luckily we didn't. Maryam make her most-strange face: like what the h..., it's like this? We both laugh and took her back to warmth in the car. She was like, yeah, I better watch them from the car! No wonder I see no kids playing on the white stuff they call snow!
