Our little Maryam is 8 months 2 days old. She is playing in her ExerSaucer. She was having lots of fun. But as soon as the camera starts rolling, she kept quiet. At the end, she became very curious about the source of the music. It was from her mom's cell phone which by the way she likes more than anything. Later, after we said "Cut", she did go to look for the source and discovered the cell phone playing her favorite songs in iTunes.
My wife, Joya, and I knew that’s what she is up to. So when Maryam found the phone and start playing with it, we both laughed.
Here you can have a sneak peak.
Ok, so you probably didn’t believe me when I said she was playing with the iTunes, and how much she loves it. Here is another sneak peak on what happened after that.

Maryam’s first Eid
Maryam’s first Eid
10/13/07
Today is Eid day. Maryam’s very first. Maryam wake up in early morning. Her mom got busy cooking all kind of special food for Eid & getting ready to hosting guests. Maryam went to Eid Prayer with dad. She enjoyed all of it until everyone stand up and start actual praying. May be because every one suddenly stands up and imam was reciting Quran very loud, so she gets scared and start crying. But she definitely loved the party out side of MCA mosque after the prayer. She even wanted to have a bite of the somucha, but she wasn’t given that because she is too young. Instead she got a balloon and she loved it.
Through out the day, even through she have no idea what’s going on, she had lots of fun. Especially when other kids came to visit our home, she enjoyed the company.

Maryam sleep through the night with mom & dad like a baby :)
Maryam july 31, 2007
She did an amazing thing today. While we all were eating our lunch, Maryam seat on a play mat. Okay, so she was not “seating”, she was laying on her back then rolling over. Her nani took her when she is finished eating and put her on nana’s lap. Mom and dad was eating rice with mango and milk. Maryam was look at they in a face as if she wan to eat mango. Mom asked dad to give Maryam a little bit, dad took a little piece and put in her mouth, she licked it and made a face that she liked it. Dad took the piece out of her mouth. Now its mom’s turn! While mom’s had was close enough, Maryam grab mom’s hand and bring her head down to put the mango in her mouth. First time we thought it’s just a coincident. But amazingly she did it several times. Hmm she really liked the mango! And know how to get it, almost!
Today we make her fall in sleep with grandma. But after she is in sleep, we bring her to our room. And she sleep through the night with mom & dad like a baby :)

She want to sleep, and that’s now!
Maryam july 30, 2007
Maryam, my sweet little daughter. She can play with me & her mom all she want. But at night, when it is sleep time, she need grandma. I am not kidding. She just will not sleep, even if she is sleepy and looks like she is about to sleep. She will just cry, cry and cry. It means she want to sleep, and that’s now! But she will only sleep with grandma. We try to trick her all different way. But noap! Some how she know. She probably feel unsecured to sleep when she don’t see grandma by her side. When grandma come to take her from our room, she immediately stop complaining. She even look back on us and give a smile. A sweat good night smile just to make sure we understand that it is not personal. She just want to be secure and have grandma by her side while fall in sleep for the night.
